David Tara started his healing journey deeply rooted in western science. With degrees in Cellular Biology and Genetics he worked as a molecular biologist at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland for 12 years.
This exposed him to not only the wonders of modern scientific medicine, but also to its weaknesses and downright failings. He felt there must be a way to plug some of the holes in western medicine, and so following a long time interest in alternative medicine he enrolled in the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, graduating in 2001 and relocating to the Rogue Valley.
This background left him a firm believer in the concept of Integrative Medicine, using the best parts of various systems at the appropriate times.
